Old Edwards Reserve at Lake Keowee is a private HOA community nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains along the shores of Lake Keowee in Sunset, SC. With a Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course, a marina, and scenic hiking trails, every aspect of the community is built around member experience. When it came time to solve a growing package management problem, there was just one challenge: no dedicated space to do it.
The Challenge
As the community grew, so did the volume of deliveries arriving at the Palmer House — the community’s main clubhouse. The management team was fielding package logistics that had nothing to do with their primary responsibilities, and with no designated area for deliveries, packages were piling up in a space not built for it. The community needed a solution that didn’t require a major construction project or a room that didn’t already exist.
The Solution
Old Edwards Reserve at Lake Keowee chose the HelloPackage Modular Package Room. This standalone, climate-controlled package room can be installed on any property regardless of available space, with no major build-out required and a setup time of as little as 30 days. Placed conveniently next to the Palmer House, the room gave the community a secure, organized home for all deliveries without disrupting the spaces members actually use. A dedicated kiosk guides delivery drivers through the drop-off process, residents receive a notification the moment their package arrives, and the management team stays out of it entirely.

The Results
In just four months, the property has processed 7,724 deliveries, with volume climbing from 476 in March to 3,214 in June as more members registered and began using the system. Resident satisfaction has averaged 4.41 out of 5.0 across 113 responses, and support tickets have stayed low, averaging just 5.7 per month. The room has also had a measurable impact on the Palmer House itself — package deliveries to the clubhouse are down approximately 100 compared to the same period last year, despite the community adding roughly 20 new completed homes.
In the words of the management team’s own report to the HOA board:
“The Hello Package Room has been a significant success, enhancing member convenience, improving security, and creating greater operational efficiency for the community.”
